J10 Questions - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Mar 18, 2013 · I'm looking at a 1979 J10 Honcho 4x4 and I have a few questions. Can I swap interior pieces like a dashboard or door panels from a Grand Wagoneer into a J10? Also could I swap a rear bumper off of a Grand Wagoneer onto a J10? What is the tow capacity of a J10? This one has a 360 and a 3 speed auto.

My 1978 J10 Daily Driver - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Sep 1, 2015 · Hey guys, my names Josh, I live in Eastern Connecticut and recently purchased my first '78 Jeep J10. I decided to start a build thread to document the work that I put into the truck and to also have a place to bounce idea and questions off the jeep community. About the truck: As I said she is...
81 J10 Manual Transmission Options | Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Apr 17, 2009 · My 81 J10 came with a 4-speed, non-granny, transmission. I think it is a Borg-Warner T18, but I wouldn't swear to it. The question is, is there a 5-speed transmission that would be a bolt-in replacement for the 4-speed? With the 4-speed, I just run out of gears too soon, so a 5th-gear overdrive would be perfect.
Decipher Color and Trim Code | Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Jun 24, 2012 · The J10 in question has what looks like the Honcho trim package with Honcho door panels and seats with the tri-color stripe low bucket seats. Very interesting and confusing. Any thoughts?
Need substitute J10 bed possibilities | Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Dec 29, 2009 · I just bought a 1978 J10 Quadratrac, 6.5 ' bed, to use as a work truck on the farm. The drivetrain and cab are in pretty good shape, but the bed of course is very rusty and shakes with every bump. I am new to these, but my research so far …
1981 Jeep J10 Build - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Jun 6, 2013 · Hello again everyone. I think that I am going to start a build thread for my 1981 jeep j10. Most people probably have read my other post but I'll start with describing it a bit. It is almost entirely rust free and in pretty good shape for an old truck. It has the dual gas tanks for a …
J10 vs J20 - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Dec 4, 2007 · J10 has 6 lug wheels and D44 front with D44 or M20 rear. (D44 rear with RH offset at both ends '74 to '79, centered M20 rear till end of production AFAIK in '87 with LH drop front) I have a '77 J10 with 6' box that someone put J20 axles under (recently got it. 360 4 bbl, 4 speed that's coming out in spring)
Jeep J-10 concerns - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Mar 21, 2010 · Of course the J10 could handle the highway. With a stock TH400 tranny or manual, you're going to be getting pretty dismal fuel economy, though. As far as ride goes, the J10 will probably ride softer than a comparable Chev, Dodge, or Ford from the same era. As long as your steering gear and bushings are good, the J10 should handle just fine.
J10 Width?? - Jeep Enthusiast Forums
Jun 19, 2013 · I've been wondering the same thing since I may need a u-haul to go get my 78 J10, and it's 240 miles away. Looked in my shop manual for 78, (I'd assume 77 would be the same) so here's some specs, "original" specs anyway for the J10. w/b 118.7 or 130.7 overall length 192.5 or 204.5 front overhang 29.9 rear overhang 43.9 overall width 78.9 front ...
