SHARP launched this composite model called "Mr. Joycasse TV" in 1986. It combined a black and white LCD screen with a portable player, and is the world's first player with a built-in TV. The viewing method was to use the Solar Projection Screen System to project the screen onto a mirror to save electricity. This was a very forward-looking approach.
