2018年7月9日 · The Scout 60 is missing the 5th gear of the Scout. Gears 1 - 4 have identical ratios on both bikes. Not that much practical difference therefore, but I sometimes miss the Scout's 5th gear while I am cruising at let's say 45 - 55 MPH on country roads.

2022年5月9日 · I miss 5th gear. I have a scout 60 and ride mostly in the mountains on twisty roads. Since the scout 60 has the scout 6th gear as its 5th gear and no 5th gear I spend a lot of time shifting from 4th to 5th and back down. If I had the scout 5th gear I would be doing much less shifting. That's the only beef I have with the 60. Otherwise, a good bike.

2017年3月9日 · Also with the piggy back module your stuck with the factory power robing drive by wire program. Dynojet has shown that the throttle plate closes to limit power artificially on the scout sixty because it's power is too close to the 69 cubic inch scout. They are showing a dyno run for the sixty that is very close to power output of the 69.

2024年11月13日 · When attempting to start my 207 Indian Scout 60 all I get is a clicking sound. When I jump the battery the bike starts right up. I replaced the starter solenoid but have the same result, bike won't start off of the battery but starts right up when I jump it. I had the battery checked, even though it is only 3 months old and it tested good.

2022年5月23日 · The only difference that I find a con between the 60 and 69 is the missing 5th gear on the 60. That gear is quite useful between 40 and 50 mph. Anyways, with the money I saved on the 60, I added the bags and passenger seat and luggage rack. Keep accessories in mind when you make your choice. Is it a beginner bike?
