Jun 14, 2024 · Ha, wonderful timing for the bear! 😶 I'm sure I'll chose Ilulissat with a night in Nuuk. I've tried all sorts of combinations to somehow include Kangerlussuaq, but it would just blow my budget, like fly there and then onward (super expensive) or fly to Nuuk, to Kanger and stay for the night, back to Nuuk (bit ridiculous, and still not cheap).

May 8, 2019 · There is AUL, as commenters said, which goes onluly once a week. If you want some extra fun, get out in the town before, it's called Aasiaat, from where a local ferry network operates, called Diskoline. It brings you to Ilulissat via some villages, taking much longer but that's the good thing about it!

Oct 19, 2023 · I recently did a (first time) trip in September from Ilulissat-Aasiaat-Sisimiut-Nuuk. I took the ferry from Ilulissat to Aasiaat which was delightful. I would have used the ferry more but it takes a week or so to go up and down the coast so the rest of the trip was by plane. I put a few pics on my Tumblr page (same handle).
