The Hoppy Possum in Northeast Tennessee features only the best amateur brewers from around the country, serving exciting beer, cider, and mead they created. Brewers and their offerings are carefully selected by festival staff to bring you the best and most unique libations.

2024年9月28日 · Hoppy Possum is your chance to connect with the heart of America’s home brewing scene. Sample unique creations, meet the brewers, and discover new favorites – all while supporting the exceptional craftsmanship of the amateur brewing community over an afternoon of beer-filled excitement.

The 2025 Hoppy Possum is open to just 75 brewers. No professional brewers will be allowed to compete. Anyone working for a commercial producer of alcoholic beverages who’s job duties include any aspect of production, will not be permitted to compete.

Each competitor who is approved to participate must furnish beer, mead, graff, cyser, cider, etc of their own creation, to be served at the Hoppy Possum Southern Brewers Cup. Each competitor must serve their own beer, cider, graff, cyser, mead, etc. during the festival event

In an effort to continually improve the Hoppy Possum experience for both brewers and attendees, we rolled out a new peoples choice rating system for the 2024 Hoppy Possum. You may have noticed we have not used the term “voting”.
