Note that the gnu head is not the Emacs logo – it is just an image used on the web pages of the GNU project. Their art gallery has all sorts of gnu variants. Gnu heads have often been used for as icons for Emacs, however.

2017年4月10日 · It is the letters "E" and "M" stylized to look like the horns of a Gnu. Any resemblance to the Greek alphabet is coincidental. Emacs version 22 put this symbol over an icon of a notepad.
