Apr 3, 2008 · I found a Fujica AX-5 in my grandfathers storage. Where you load the film, there is white stuff on the metal. Looks like rust and erosion. It is dusty on the mirror. It comes with; EBC x-fujinon 1:1.6 50mm lens EBC x-Fujinon.t 1:4.5 200mm lens Fujica auto extension tube x25 and x50 There is a LMC...
Fujica AX-5 problem - Classic Manual Film Cameras - Photo.net
Dec 4, 2010 ·
Hi,
I seem to have a problem with my recently bought Fujica AX-5. The mirror doesn't seem to flip up fast enough, causing a not exposed piece on the top of my film. Should I lube the mirror? And how should I do that?
Regards, Matthijs

Not much love for the Fujica AX series of SLRs, - how come?
Mar 28, 2022 · I agree that the Fujica X-mount SLRs in general are overlooked are underrated. The AX-5 was a worthy competitor to the Canon A-1, though the AX cameras were a bit late to market compared to what the other major Japanese makers were already offering at the time.

Sep 28, 2008 · I think the most sophisticated M42 camera is the Fujica AX-5 with the X-D lens adapter mounted. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think with the X-D adapter, the AX-5 can do aperture priority, shutter priority and programmed mode with any M42 lenses that can be mounted on! I know the adapter is intended for the later Fujinon M42 lenses with an aperture-sensing tab, but I can't think of anything ...
K-1000 lens adapter question; Fujica-mount lens on K-1000 body?
Jan 14, 2005 · Thank you for considering my question. I would like to use some lens from an old Fujica AX-5 camera on my Pentax K-1000. I'm wondering if there is an adapter made for this pairing. The lens from the Fujica are Fujinon 50mm f/1.6, Tokina 80-200mm f/4.5, and Tokina 28mm f/2.8. I would enjoy using t...

Dec 2, 2007 · still basically like all the other M42 lenses that the aperture diaphram is stopped down via pressing the pin. So does the camera adjust how much it presses the pin to set the proper aperture? That is quite challenging. On a related note, the Fujica D adapter allows M42 Fujinon lenses to be used on Fujica AX-5 in shutter priority and program mode.

Can KAF or KAF2 machine using M42 lens with Auto Aperture …
Aug 31, 2006 · If you're not happy with stopped down metering, the only option is a Fujica AX-5 with X-D M42 adapter. This works with auto diaphragm and full aperture metering in program and shutter priority auto modes - quite a clever trick!
Porst 35-70mm 3.5-4.5 for Fujica X-mount. Any ideas?
Apr 7, 2013 ·
I 've been looking for a compact short zoom (35-70) for my Fujica STX-1 camera. I have come across the Fujinon 35-70 2.8-3.7 zoom lens a couple of times, but the price tag is always a bit high for my standards. A widely available alternative (at least on the german eBay site) is the Pors...
Camera Bodies that use M42 screwmount lenses? Which is the Best?
May 13, 2003 · The absolute best ... a Fujica AX-5 with an "XD" (not "XS") mount adaptor. This combination gives open-aperture metering in shutter-priority and "program" modes when used with auto-aperture 42-screw lenses. You've also got stop-down metering as well as full manual control. Battery is a standard 4LR44, so no problems there either.
