2022年10月21日 · I have the same problem with Dell Dock Fan annoying operation. My WD22TB4 is less than 1 year old. The fan is reving up to max speed for 1 second and rev down. It does this continously for may be 3-5 minutes then stop. The fan sound is very loud and get on my nerve. My room AC is set at 67F so it is not heat problem.

2021年11月5日 · 2024 Mac Mini M4 Pro has the highest max power consumption of any previous Mac Mini at 140W and in a smaller chassis so high fan noise is not surprising. Wonder what decisions drove them to a smaller chassis when it makes more common sense to go with larger heat sink in a larger chassis to keep fan noise minimal.

I think five years of the i9 Intel MacBook Pro legit traumatised me. The noise was so obnoxious. The only thing that has been worse was my dual-processor G4 Quicksilver Mac in 2002.

When the CPU usage runs high, the CPU gets warm, and the fan runs to control the thermal temperature in the system.

2021年4月24日 · This started a few months ago with the fan randomly spinning up for 15-30 seconds and then going off, it seems to be lasting a little longer now. The event that has prompted me to join this community was around 10-15 minutes ago where the fan spun up to full speed and stayed on, its only just stopped now so I'd say it was on solidly for 10 minutes.
