An echogenic intracardiac focus (EICF) is a small white spot that may be seen on your baby's heart during one of your routine ultrasounds. These white spots are most likely seen during your mid-pregnancy ultrasound, which takes place between 18 weeks and 22 weeks.

EIFs themselves have no impact on health or heart function.
