Then next is g1 (vibrating at 3x the fundmental) then c2 (4) then e2 (5) then g3 (6) and now b3 (at 7:1, this is really out of tune according the the "just scale."

Jan 3, 2015 · I don't think there's a name we give to the note naming format of C4... The last number is the octave. By the way, C4 is middle C, not C3. Not every piano manufacturer gets that right. Some start on the wrong octave because their instrument doesn't have the full 88 keys and they start labeling octave 2 as 1.

According to the Wikipedia article on vocal range, E2-E4 is the general range for a bass, whereas the general range for a baritone is G2 - G4. I've been singing in choirs for over 40 years and have always sung bass. My range is roughly E2 - E4 as well and I'm most comfortable from F2 - A3.
