2021年8月25日 · It depends what from the comics is canon. The IDW stuff leans toward Spike loving Drusilla more than Buffy given who Maria Harley (aka Spider) and even Beck would remind Spike of. Even Illyria in AtS S5 and in 'AtS S6' would remind Spike of Drusilla. And Spike obviously stays in Los Angeles with Angel in AtS S5 rather than go be with Buffy.

2020年10月20日 · It's effectively canon that Spike during sometime in BtVS S2 fell in love with Buffy. He simply preferred Drusilla. Buffy doesn't kill Spike in BtVS S2 even though she has some clear chances to. She prefers Angel, but Angel wasn't trying to kill her and Spike was. Buffy and Spike are essentially flirting with each other in "Lovers Walk" (B 3.08).

2022年5月18日 · Buffy and Drusilla do briefly fight in season 5. Despite having her hands tied up, she manages to briefly hold her own against Drusilla. I don't think Drusilla's hypnotic powers are stronger than The Master's. With a gesture, The Master is able to completely immobilise Buffy. That being said, Buffy ultimately wins after a somewhat good fight.

I agree that Drusilla is the most interesting vampire that they introduce into the show. I really enjoyed the lore/backstory of William, Drusilla, Angelus, and Darla. Dru was particularly interesting because she seemed to have some type of “visions” as a human and that crossed over when she became a vampire.

Drusilla's hilarious to me. Just about every character on Buffy (except for Giles) annoyed me at first, but obviously now I love them all. Dru really is a complex character, and I think we as the audience come to love her through Spike's eyes somehow because Spike is constantly trying to justify his love for her. Those actors are perfect together.

Like the First seems to actually 'tear up' in "Bring on the Night" (B 7.10) that Spike would choose Buffy over the First Evil.
