He says the pipe scrapings though are always a really good hit or two (or three) but they are a real bugger to get. Much scraping around with a pin or a small screwdriver.

All you need is copper and a glass pipe and a heat source (obviously) to light the stuff up. I have never had the full effect of smoking rocks by using a water bottle (in my case a can) and ashes.
