Damian Robert Chapa (born October 29, 1963) is an American actor, [1] film director, screenwriter, and producer. [2] Chapa's ancestry is Mexican, Italian, German and Native American. He lives in San Antonio, Texas. [3] Chapa played the part of evangelist Leroy Jenkins in the 2002 film The Calling. [4] .

His first starring role was In Blood In, Blood Out (1993), as Miklo Velka (for which he achieved worldwide notice and legions of fans, particularly within the Latino community, As well as having gone on to become the highest-grossing Latin film in history), followed by Undersiege with Tommy Lee Jones and Steven Seagull (1992).
