Unless you're very diligent with how you use your R4, you'll need a backup DS (DS Phat or DS Lite recommended). This is because Nintendo constantly puts out updates that locks you out from using an R4. If you update and you're locked out, you'll have to update your R4's firmware on a different system.

The "best" card you can buy is the Supercard DSTwo Plus. It works on all ds, dsi, and 3ds models, has extra processors for better emulation, and can even play 3ds games.

My problem with my r4 card is that whenever i put it into my 3ds or ds the r4 card is just shown up as a mega man demo game. When I plug it in with no micro sd card it is still shows up as a mega man demo game. I also have no mega man game on the micro sd card.

2024年4月7日 · The WoodR4 kernel 1.62 on original R4 have a real high compatibility, and will work mostly every DS title, and if you want to add some extra features, there is a flashcard versionof Twilight Menu that works along the OG R4 base kernel (WoodR4 again), bringing GBA support and other few emulators on thw fly.

Get onto eBay and buy one of the "502 in 1" type DS cards - they are pre-populated flash carts (not R4, a different type like Ace card). If the game you want isn't already there, then there is a SD card in the flash cart and you can find a .NDS file and put it on there. They work in any DS and also run as DS cards in 3DS family.
