D-25T – tank gun variant (T stands for tankovaya, 'tank' adj.). In the last days of November 1943, Fyodor Petrov 's artillery design team tried the D-25 122 mm corps gun on a mounting used for the D-5T 85 mm tank gun against a captured German Panther tank.

Compared to the towed howitzer the traverse and elevation control are both located on the same side, an electric trigger is fitted and the breech is fitted with a loading tray.

The D-25T (GRAU Index: 52-PT-471) is a Soviet tank gun developed in the mid 1940s. The barrel of the D-25T consisted of a monoblock tube, a muzzle flash, a cap and a clutch. The monoblock tube had a stepped cylindrical shape and was processed into a cone in the muzzle.

2017年1月1日 · The improved 122mm D-25T (which was used on the IS-2, the D-25S was essentially the same, and was used on the ISU-122S) seems to have fared much better against German armor. Testing of the gun on the IS-2 platform in Kubinka in 1944 suggests that a King Tiger’s turret (likely the side) could be penetrated from up to 1000-1500m.

The ISU-122 (acronym of Istrebitelnaja - or Iosif Stalin -based - Samokhodnaya Ustanovka 122) was a Soviet assault gun used during World War II, mostly in the anti-tank role.

2013年11月1日 · Instead of the 85 mm D-5 gun, the 122 mm D-25 gun is used, the most powerful of all currently known foreign or domestic tank guns. The D-25 has the ballistics of the model 1931/37 A-19 corps gun. The D-25 is installed on the gun mount of the 85 mm D-5 gun in a slightly altered IS turret.

The D-25 was the redesign in 1943 of the 122 mm A-19 field gun to increase its reliability and operating safety in order to equip the newly developed IS-2 tanks with a powerful gun. The D-25T was born of the 122 mm D-25 gun and the gun mount of the 85 mm D-5T gun in late 1943.

2015年4月27日 · The D-25T can achieve the same from 1100 meters, or make it clean through the plate from 600 meters. You can read more about the tests here, but the D-25T consistently penetrates the prototype hulls from a longer range than the KwK 43.
