If you look on ebay, you'll see the expensive high end stereo microscopes, like Leica and Nikon. But you should be able to find a reasonable used one (not a name brand) for around $100. Shipping is expensive, though.

2017年2月14日 · I only see an advantage to the Dino-Lite tethered to a pad or tablet for having a preliminary look at coin at an unattended table. Can't view the reverse. If the table is attended and the dealer offers an in hand inspection, a low power loupe and a good light source are sufficient.

2004年8月30日 · Nice, and at $249, it's easy on the wallet, too. I'd definitely use one of these with my laptop. Minimizes risk of accidetal damage, too. Scan the coin then scrutinize it on your monitor, instead of fumbling it around with your fingers under a loupe. Something like this could make a big impact if enough people buy them.

2024年4月27日 · This coin will never be sold. It was my oldest son’s coin and he had it with other coins that have recorded errors. No amount of money would get it from me. He could have thought it was special or cool and I wanted to learn about it. Thank you to the few that gave me some help and resources to keep researching.

2024年3月9日 · I had him look at his coin under my scope set at 7X and after this experience he went out that night and bought an OTT light to use the next day at the show. These lights are good for the road; but I use a two bulb jeweler's lamp at the office. You must cut a crescent into the shade so the barrel of the scope can be more perpendicular to the light.
