2011年5月13日 · follow what GM did starting in the 70's and going on up thru the G bodies- make some braces that go from the middle of the engine crossmember forward and out towards the front of the frame horns, then add a cross bar that connects the forward mounting points of those bars together and ties the whole front of the frame together with a big triangle.

2011年10月16日 · Yes the frames to twist very easily by themselves. Simply boxing the open frame channels will make a noteable difference in the frame rigidity. Adding more tubes down the middle will make a lot less difference. However you should not look at the frame by itself when evaluating stiffness as it is only one part of the overall structure.

2016年6月5日 · dropping the frame off at my local shop. they have 3 chief computerized diagnostic frame machines but have no info on the chevelle frame, so they will do it manually. he said it will be between 450-600 bucks. i dont wanna pay it but i want this correct . hopefully can get rolling as soon as i get it back.

2011年6月16日 · my '67 came with a 396/325 motor. dont think there is any difference in the frame but am no expert. will recommend bracing up the rear control arms to frame connection as was done on some bb cars. my current motor is a 496/600hp version. there have been no problems with the frame so far...

2016年9月20日 · `64-`67 GM A Body Chevelle, GS, 442 SC&C Heavy Duty Chassis Brace GM didn't dot all their I's and cross all their T's when they built the A body chassis (Chevelle, GS, 442, Etc.). The front frame horns were left without a crossmember and the bumper can't do the job.
