I truly loathe Castiel and he shouldn't have been on Supernatural beyond the few episodes he was meant for. I admit his first episodes were ok (though he always reminds me of Inspector Columbo). But he started getting on my nerves when he confessed his doubts to Dean (Great Pumpkin 04.07). But hey, not long after that he exploded - molars and all.

Castiel is a character with whom is easy to love and I love his character development but it's true that it could have been a lot better. Still, I love how his character went on even though I would have wanted him to have his own arc in Supernatural instead of playing father figure.

2020年1月19日 · If anything, all THREE main characters (Dean, Sam, and Castiel) have taken a back seat to Jack's story line since season 13. So if Castiel seems less relevant, I'd argue that the same can be said for Dean and Sam, just to a lesser degree. Castiel has consistently tried to help and protect the Winchesters for several seasons -- often at his peril.
