The Czechoslovakian Vz46 (cz46) Below are some samples of the Pistole Vzor 46 (Vz46), sometimes referred to as the cz46. These pistols were made from surplus parts immediately after World War two for the Czech military. When they were replaced with Soviet small arms, they were sold as surplus to various countries, including the United States.

This one is all matching, has the proper Czech lion proof, and a proper Czech "E" proof on the left side of the frame. The frame was made by Spreewerk and has an "Eagle 88" proof on the left side.

Jul 1, 2015 · I just recently picked up a P38. After committing to buy it and sending the funds, I found out from talking with a fellow collector and friend that this particular P38 is actually a CZ-46 variant, made (assembled) in 1946 in Czechoslovakia.
My CZ or VZ-46
Sep 29, 2016 · The gun started out as a Czech VZ-46 but ended up as a East German VoPo gun hence the Crown N barrel and locking block. All the other parts are Czech parts such Spreewerk slide and frame and all the internal frame parts parts. The Czech Lion and the VoPo daisy have been peened out.
