2013年8月27日 · The most effective multi-tools are pretty heavy, the very effective medium size useful SAKs are still fairly light. I carry a Leatherman Surge multi-tool and a Wenger Survivor SAK on my belt in the field and have a Leatherman Micra multi-tool and a Victorinox gentleman's pen knife SAK in my pocket all the time.

2024年8月1日 · Having a multitool is a no-brainer but as long as your "survival card" doesn't have a blade on it, it won't get confiscated by TSA like your Leatherman. A multitool can make a lot of what most of those cards offer...again, it's just a more compact and convenient form factor.

The only "must have item" I carry is a phillips head screwdriver on the Gerber multi-tool. I am flat-out amazed at how often it turns out that I need a phillips head screwdriver.
