Uluru/Ayers Rock is one of Australia’s best-known tourist destinations. Most visitors arrive there via Alice Springs, about 280 miles (450 km) northeast by road, although there are scheduled flights to a small airport at Yulara, a community just north of the national park boundary.

Uluru (/ ˌ uː l ə ˈ r uː /; Pitjantjatjara: Uluṟu [ˈʊlʊɻʊ]), also known as Ayers Rock (/ ˈ ɛər z / AIRS) and officially gazetted as Uluru / Ayers Rock, [1] is a large sandstone monolith. It crops out near the centre of Australia in the southern part of the Northern Territory, 335 km (208 mi) south-west of Alice Springs.

2021年9月29日 · The Uluru/Ayers Rock is an iconic natural wonder within the 1,333 square kilometers Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park located in Australia’s Northern Territory. The park is located approximately 440 kilometers southwest of Stuart (present-day Alice Spring) and 1,945 kilometers from Darwin.

Uluru, one of Australia’s most famous landmarks, was known as Ayers Rock until 1993, when it was officially renamed Uluru. Dual-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is one of the rare places in the world where ecological and cultural qualities are recognized.
