2019年12月26日 · I've always liked the look of the A2 AUG. Also the current rails do not have the knuckle protector built into the A2 rail. Since you can't really get an A2, except as a USR and I since I already owned an A3 I had innovative make the rail to the same dimensions as an A2 rail except the mounting interface which is the same as an A3 rail.

2011年10月12日 · The A2 is the best AUG made. There is an interface to slide on the regular carry handle optic or a picatinny rail. Minor improvements have been made to make it better. USRs are hidden gems. I prefer the 20 inch barrel for best balance and usability.

2019年7月11日 · I am trying to set up a white light and IR laser on a USR/A2 and an AUG A3 and the ergos are perplexing me a bit. Planning to use a 20/20 Precision Tr-1A rail on both guns. Planning to use a Streamlight HLX light. Not sure if I am going to use the tape switch, don't really know where it would go. Has anyone already figured this out satisfactorily?

2006年10月30日 · An AUG A2 that did not have matching serial numbered parts throughout is highly suspect to being an illegally built A2 using one of these "repair and replacement" receivers. Doesn't mean such a gun is illegal, but it had better have at least documented proof that the original A1 receiver was destroyed if not providing the actual destoryed or ...

2022年11月18日 · Great info, thank you. I've added that to my AUG notes. Based on that, if I ever get one of the 1/2x28 threaded new barrels, I'd probably look into FCD's enhanced 1815, which is the same length as the A2 but apparently has ~15% more compensating effect then the regular A2. The open tine one I think would look good on the AUG.

2020年8月21日 · From the SR came the A2, which allowed the classic integrated optic (with ability to mount accessories on top of the optic housing), picatinny type rail, or an adapter for NV devices. While the Swiss went from A1 to A2, the Austrians moved directly from the A1 to the SF, which is an actual A2 receivered gun.
