Ampeg SVT-CL vs Ampeg SVT Pro-2 - TalkBass.com
2024年12月22日 · I chose CL. I think the GEQ was an attempt to compete with the Mesa 400/400+ amd it was not executed well. Also weren't the SVT IIs from the SLM era pf Ampeg ownership. Many Ampeg products from that era had reliability issues. I think that is why you do not see them in backline.
Ampeg Venture V7 volume - TalkBass.com
2019年7月3日 · Another thing I disliked about that Ampeg V3 I had was the high s/n ratio when the volume finally got close to what 300 watts should sound like. I hate to say it but the Aguilar is the superior amp. I have a V3 heading back to Ampeg for warranty replacement (as soon as they resume business after the fire) and have had a Tonehammer 350 which rocked.
Ampeg Ventures vs Ampeg SVT Pros - TalkBass.com
2024年10月26日 · I’ve read the entirety of the “New Ampeg Venture Series” thread and am very interested in buying a Venture cab. I’m also interested in the Venture heads (especially the V7), but I’m curious about the trade offs between the Ventures and the SVT Pro series of heads. For some context, I’m primarily a guitar player and I’m new to bass.
Ampeg Serial Number Date Code - TalkBass.com
2001年5月3日 · Ampeg may very well have used 100 or 101 as the starting point during slow production periods. Nevertheless, for dating purposes, the serial number provides adequate information during this period. For example, a Duette with serial number 710201 was made in 1957 (7), during October (10), and was possibly the 201st amp made that month.
FULL REVIEW: Ampeg SVT-7Pro & 610HLF **Loud Era
2005年2月9日 · Ampeg here chooses to use their own design (although I wouldn't be surprised to find the same board elsewhere in the LOUD family, probably in one of their active subs). With the exception of the SMPS chipset, the output board looked more like a Class-AB job to me, with what looks like large MOSFETS attached to two smallish aluminum heat sinks.
Gallien Krueger vs Ampeg tone - TalkBass.com
2012年4月13日 · Having switched from Ampeg to GK not too long ago I personally prefer GK. I have both an 1001RBII head and an MB200 head. Even though they are totally different heads they both have the same basic GK tone. To me the GK tone is cleaner, tighter with more defined mids and highs. The Ampeg tone is a bit gritty with slightly fatter lows.
Ampeg V4-B with SVT212 or Venture V7 with VB212?
2018年2月7日 · Ampeg recommends replacing the driver tube at the same time. Power tube replacement requires re-biasing. The manual explains this well, and (rightly) recommends this be performed by a tech, assuming the owner doesn't know his way around tube amps and their potentially fatal internal voltages.
NAD: My Ampeg PF-350 Review - TalkBass.com
2006年3月21日 · Enter the Ampeg PF350 Good price, small form factor, simple and with excellent tone; if you're familar with the Ampeg sound, you'll recognise it immediately. In fact, there are a couple of threads about the interwebs where they compare the tube B15 with the PF-350; they sound incredibly close, but of course the tubes give a little something ...
Acoustic vs. Ampeg - TalkBass.com
2017年3月21日 · 2) Wanting to run dual 15’s and the Ampeg is lighter and slightly smaller for transport ie Modular. 3) I eventually want to get a PF-50t and have an all Ampeg rig. The B115MKii is the only Axoustic brand i’ve Played, tonight I will use the Ampeg and see how it works. The B115MKii for me has been a wonderful standalone 15.
Ampeg Opto Comp - TalkBass.com
2018年5月19日 · The Ampeg Opto and Whirlwind OC are two good examples of Optical compression. The Whirlwind OC is American made, 18 Volt and has tons of head room. It's operation is switchable between compression or limiting and it is the closest thing to an LA2A I've ever heard in a pedal.
