Finally decided to pick up one of the 92D-XR St. Louis PD contract overrun guns. Before this they carried old school 92D Berettas and before that, model 10's. If I had to guess this is probably the last of the duty DAO pistols riding in duty holsters around the country.

Aug 2, 2023 · St. Louis PD wanted it. They carried the 92D for many years. I’m very grateful for their other-than-standard requirement! 😂🤣. My DXR is one of my favorite handguns to shoot. A LTT or Wilson trigger bar with a 12# hammer spring and a steel trigger, it shoots like a well tuned K-frame, but with 18 shots in the magazine. Exactly why I want one.

Jan 9, 2021 · The 92DXR is a one-off run (for now) of Beretta 92Ds on Vertec slides and frames. The 92D is a double-action only Beretta 92, it has no external safety or decocker because it automatically decocks after every shot. 92Ds are mostly in use by police departments that mandate DAO guns.
