Feb 10, 2020 · and a 5" 45 acp. the 45 acp is a tack driver with the cheapest ammo. used to buy $9 boxes of blazer and still be good groups. most barrels do well with most ammo. but good ammo there very accurate. made a few pet loads for a bunch of them. you could get your 6.5 jap most likely at ssk, bullberry or mach grade machine. they all make custom barrels.

Jul 14, 2023 · I would think (and this is all hypothetical) that an SP primer under a light, fluffy powder (a la Win231) would make for a clean and efficient load. All things being equal, same velocity x same bullet weight = same energy. It would also seem that a larger .45 ACP firing pin, crushing a smaller primer would be more reliable?

Dec 27, 2006 · The sawed-off base of a .308 case fits MUCH better than a .45 ACP case. The .45 is too big and makes a sloppy fit. The .308 can fit perfectly if cut at the right point and drilled out to fit:
