2020年5月13日 · I'm cleaning my 30 gallon cube tank and have the fish and the water into a 10 gallon tank while I clean and change the gravel. How many gallons of the old water should I save to put in the new tank. I'm also planning on seeding it with some of the old gravel as well as keep the current filter media intact for about a week before changing.

2020年4月28日 · I had a 75 gallon fish tank with a 20 gallon Sump, HOB refugium, did 25-30% water changes weekly and I had 2 clowns, a fire fish, a 6 lined wrasse and a copperbanded butterfly. That was where I was comfortable. I had very few algae issues. That tank had about 90 gallons of water and 100 lbs of live rock. I truly think your pushing it.

We really cant afford a new stand, due to various pandemic stricken reasons. Please let me know whether you think the desk will hold the tank. I dont want to destroy the tank or the desk.

2019年3月14日 · In a 30 gallon there isn't enough territory space for multiple pairs, but one is still fantastic to see. Maybe a pair of rams/apistos, a bristlenose pleco and a pearl gourami if you only want to have a few fish. I believe keyhole cichlids can be kept in a 30 gallon too. They are a little more drab, but they are bigger than bolivians.

2017年8月6日 · I go up to what I believe is a 30 gallon tank, where an Oscar is just sitting in one corner. After a while, he started swimming along the back kind of frantically. The substrate is gravel, with decent sized rocks covering the gravel. A couple small decorations and a big one. The tank is filtered and heated.

2012年1月28日 · I respectfully disagree with this "rule". Would you put a 10 inch RES in a 10 gal tank? Of course not. Inch per gallon rules are outdated. For a 30 gal tank, you are pretty limited as most turtles will outgrow a tank like that. What I would suggest is 1 regular musk turtle. They can live permanently in a 30 gal tank.

2019年5月8日 · As long as there isn't too much flow for the fish to handle you should be fine with a 30 gallon canister on a 10 or 5 gallon tank. Just make sure the fish aren't getting blown around by the flow that the filter is creating. Having too big of a filter is never a problem.
