Feb 28, 2021 · all 100 series should be 1HD-FTE models unless im mistaken. the solid axle 105 had the non turbo 1HZ as an option. the 1HD-T is in 1990-1994 80 series and the pump 1HD-FT is on 80 series 1995-1997.

Jul 15, 2012 · Christian, All these engines are great in their own respect. If you are going to be in less developed countries where fuel quality and spare parts availability is questionable, I would favour 1HZ for pure simplicity and durability however the 1HD-T would be hard to go past.

Mar 28, 2002 · with the connecting rod cap off and the crank at the bottom of the stroke the valves should be open so it’s actually quite easy to just push the piston up in the cylinder and slide the bearing out. replace the on in the cap too and pull the piston back down. you don’t need to turn the crank at all while the rod is disconnected so no fear of damaging the crank journal. just be …
