2022年1月24日 · Firstly, I put the cusp gens in so I could add more memes and make it make more sense, secondly, the agreed upon end of Gen Z is 2009-2012, if you agree that they even exist yet. Thirdly, Gen X through Alpha have the basic generation length, 15 years, becuase it is widely agreed upon and it is the minimum age that babies are usually born.

YTP in general was hardly ever supposed to be funny because of the jokes in the videos, it was most of the time more like an art project: the video editing of most of them is extremelly impressive to these days standart, let alone in 2008.

2024年1月21日 · Yeah the Gigachad meme kinda leaked out from the manosphere sector of the internet which is predominantly gen Z and younger millennials then it turned into a mainstream satirical sort of thing. Plus most Gen Alpha are still way too young to understand the context behind that meme. That’s definitely not a gen alpha thing
Gen Z and Gen Alpha are basically the same : r/GenAlpha - Reddit
I don't think Gen Alpha brainrot is actually a problem in itself. Ironic shitposting with outlandish nonsensical content was always a staple of Gen Z humour. The real problem is that a lot of the Gen Z satire and/or Gen Alpha memes and brainrot get taken seriously by Gen Alphas.
Episode review (Please stop with the Gen Alpha memes) : r/SMG4
Originally the point of this post was to complain about this, but Gen Alpha memes are not funny AT ALL, especially in SMG4. These brainrot memes don't fit in SMG4 at all, even if it might be the type of stuff I sometimes laugh at when I see it in Tiktok. I think SMG4 really should spend more time finding actually good memes.
