2018年1月28日 · I use them for random digikey parts that I can find footprints there however many are non-existent such as the one in the thread. I found a TI chip that I am going to use for another board so that will keep me busy for a bit and I found a link from KiCad that should make the footprint creation a lot easier since making symbols isnt a problem.

2025年2月4日 · I’m using KiCAD 8.0 and it outputs gerber files in mm and not inches. When I upload into PCB Builder, it show the correct dimensions, but UoM is set to inches, and I do not see a way to correct this. It appears KiCAD uses mm internally, and is the format it outputs gerber files in. Any suggestions? TIA!

2023年8月25日 · Hi: I have just downloaded Kicad 7. My new board needs to have Thermal relief for High Power white LEDs soldered on the front layer with copper thermal dissipation via the Rear filled layer. I have been Unable to figure this out, do I use vias or another transfer mechanisms to accomplish this? The back layer is a no-net. Driving me crazy! Thanks, Tom
