2015年7月21日 · With that said Ryu has the tools to go in on the opponent, at the end of the day how you play Ryu is up to you. Ken is a much more offensive oriented shoto. He has a great poke in his forward medium kick (step kick) as well as a great air tatsu for getting in. Ken's fireball game is much weaker than Ryu's. Ken is the bully out of these two.

2014年6月22日 · Ken's command normals are probably better than Ryu's, and Ryu's regular normals are probably better than Ken's. Except sweep. Ken's shoryuken is better, but that, like sweep, can become a crutch. Honestly like Velikan1 said, if you cant tell the difference between Ryu and Ken then you should stay away from Eyu for now.

2023年5月30日 · Im curious, in terms of gameplay Ryu seems to deal more damage while Ken assaults you with a bunch of hits to get just as much damage. But I also mean lore-wise. In this game Ryu mastered his power, while Ken has always had the fire aspect to his moves. They both practice the same fighting style but they made it their own and took different paths.

2023年7月30日 · Ryu is much more basic. He plays the game really honest. He doesn't have as much tools as Ken and has weak corner carry in comparison. Ryu has higher damage potential, but higher damage potential doesn't mean much when you don't have the tools to open people up like Ken does. To clarify, Ryu isn't a bad character. Ken's just better.

Also Ken have superb wall carry, for example backthrow from midscreen will put opponent to the wall in an instant. Thematically Ryu is more energy based with his fireball, hashogeki, and super 1 and 2 that can be further buffed by his denjin charge.

2019年1月4日 · In the Ryu Final manga the opening fight is Ken demolishing Ryu. Latter in the same manga Ryu comes back and demolishes Ken. This is what it means to be rivals. They are constantly trying and succeeding in outdoing eachother. Also the reason Ken smashed Ryu at the start was because he drew strength from his family. They don't make him weak.

2023年6月5日 · Ken is just the harder verison of Ryu is almost all ways - you have to work harder, have better execution and figure out which moves to use in context, all for the same damage. Try playing both. The execution to equal the same damage as Ryu does in a couple moves is just more in every aspect.

Ken can overhead into a huge combo without using meter for example, however Ryu needs to drive rush his overhead to get a combo. That's just one of many simple examples Ken has over Ryu, including his dash ability. If you disagree, please tell me why - truth is there isn't many Master ranked Ryu's compared to Ken and there's a reason why.
