I found the single action trigger pull very hard and gritty. It was inspected by Rinaldo Carr and Colonel Hoffer of the US Ordnance Corps. The .38 Long Colt round was woefully underpowered.

It is one of the series* of Army-Navy revolvers made both for the military in .38 Long Colt and for civilian sale in .38 and .41 calibers. That gun is a civilian model. 2011年6月3日 · That is the New Army & Navy revolver, the civilian version of the gun the military adopted in 1892 and which went through several military model number changes. It was made in 1905. The mechanism is rather fragile so I don't recommend firing the gun, but note that by 1905 they were made to accept .38 Special as well as the original .38 Long Colt.

2008年11月3日 · yes a lot of the spanish revolvers chambered for the 38 colt long will accept the 38 special and some of them are even marked 38 Long or 38 special. my step father own one of these manufactured by "tracaola & aranzaba" (TAC) before wwII. he purchased this revolver after WWII and kept in loaded in the bedroom.

2013年12月1日 · They seem to have been imported during the 1930's, designed to look roughly like a Colt Single Action ( for the cowboy fans ) but in double action. Very inexpensively made and prone to breakage with no parts availability. Most were marked " For .38 Colt Special " which is nothing more than the S&W .38 Special but with a flat nose.
