The Yusufzai or Yousafzai (Pashto: یوسفزی, pronounced [jusəpˈzai] 1), also referred to as the Esapzai (ايسپزی, pronounced [iːsəpˈzai]), or Yusufzai Afghans historically, are one of the largest tribes of Pashtuns.

Yousafzai is a human rights advocate for the education of women and children in her native homeland, Swat, where the Pakistani Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school.

The Yusufzai (also spelt Yousafzai and also known as Esapzai or Yūsufī) are a large Pashtun tribe inhabiting several areas in Afghanistan and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. At the present time, a young girl, Malala Yousafzai is the best known member of this tribe globally.
