Do any of you gent's can provide me with reasoning why some 'old' analysts (mostly US and Western ones) quite adamant in stating that US 16 inch guns in Iowa class was superior in brute force than Japanese 18 inch guns in Yamato class.

2012年4月21日 · Honestly i do not want to be on the Yamato when then Iowa gives a direct broadside and multiple direct/indirect hits. But that same goes for being on the Iowa when the Yamato gives a full broadside. In both cases it would be Saronaya and good bye.

Ideas for a military fiction story that i am writing?
2012年1月20日 · The fictional battle between the IJN and USN at singapore( involving the Iowa, Yamato, Akagi, Missouri with the GRF carrier getting involved would be the climatic part of the story as the result of history being rewritten. Regarding the matter of realism, i just meant as in how battles are fought as in how land/sea/ air engagements are carried out.
