Only had 2 market birds with visible worms at slaughter time but to help the breeders be 100% healthy we worm them in fall/winter There are herbal and natural wormers to enhance the immune system of poultry which helps to repel worms.

2009年8月5日 · We bought a pair of adult turkeys about 5 months ago and we've noticed pretty much all the poultry making a yawning motion that probably started a few months ago. We had decreased egg production from the chickens, but blamed it on the heat. I'm thinking we brought gape worm in with the new turkeys.

2007年10月3日 · I HIGHLY recommend using diatomaceous earth for treating ALL sorts of worms, parasites, bacteria, fleas, lice, mites flys etc. and it's all-natural and safe. Great for your pets and YOURSELF too! I use it for my hens, dogs, cats, turkey, and take it myself daily.

2015年8月3日 · Eye worm is pretty rare, mostly occurring in tropical areas. Respiratory diseases are one cause of facial swelling. MG is one that is common in turkeys. Tylan or oxytetracycline are used to treat symptoms of those. Unless she develops nasal or eye drainage, coughing/sneezing, or rattly breathing, I would probably just watch it.

2013年9月1日 · I'm sure two girls in my flock have gape worm, they're gaping, "snaking" their heads, rattle when they breath etc. It's been going on for weeks (although one hasn't had it that long, and has been quite poorly today).
