The CB has thermal/magnetic trip capabilities, but it also has the ability to trip electronically say from a Feeder Protection Relay say like the GE SR750.

Never have useda shunt trip trip breaker ever . The contol panels are controlled by the ansul micro switch. Operation is cookline outlets energized non dependent if control box is on or off.
