2012年12月12日 · It has been reported that using the downloaded Windows 8 upgrade ISO does not always give you an UEFI bootable USB option in the boot menu. If this happens to you, then use the ESD-TO-ISO.exe program created by our member Simon (SIW2) below to create an ISO that will work with UEFI. Afterwards, start this tutorial over using this new ISO instead.

2011年10月5日 · Seems that UEFI isn't on Macs because the mac hardware does not conform to the UEFI standards, which were designed for PC's. I did some research and apparently Apple dont even use standard EFI 1.x, its EFI 1.10 plus some UEFI 2.0 bits. So we are stuck with BIOS under Boot Camp untill someone figures out a way to emulate UEFI in a rEFIt kind of way.

2014年1月26日 · Windows 8 WQHL is probably restricted to a UEFI boot but will allow Windows 7 or other Non-secure boot OSes in UEFI mode. The other is for other OSes and may be needed for Legacy (MBR) systems. The important thing to watch is the CSM. If it is disabled, you are in Windows 8 Secure Boot. If it is enabled, you will be able to boot Windows 7.
