Opened to the public in 2012, the National Museum of World War II Aviation documents the role that military aviation played in the emergence of our nation as a world power. The museum tells the story of the tremendous technological advancements in aviation during the War and the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women who won the air war.

The National Museum of World War II Aviation is located on a 21-acre campus on the northwest side of the Colorado Springs Airport. Just fifteen minutes from downtown Colorado Springs, the Museum is easily accessible from Interstate 25 and just five minutes from the intersection of US 24 and Powers Blvd.

The National Museum of World War II Aviation is home-base for 20 fully-restored, flying World War II aircraft, and frequently hosts other Word War II aircraft as they fly cross-country for airshows and events.
