Voron isn't a good starter printer, you will likely need some experience with 3D printing to have the basic know-how. Like people say, Voron aren't printers exactly, they are either kits you build or you source the parts yourself and use the instructions to assemble.

2021年4月30日 · I've looked at nearly all of the newer CoreXY designs, and if I were building a new printer right now, I'd either build a VZbot, Voron 1.8, or maybe the new Rat-Rig V-Core 3. The VZbot has the simplest design (but is very capable), and the fewest parts, which means that there is less chance for complications down the road.

Filament behavior, etc. Even if you are not a tinkerer, operating a 3d printer is much, much more involved than using a regular printer… and setting up and using any Voron, due to the printers’ more sophisticated designs definitely is more challenging.

But much harder than a voron or a ratrig. Slightly easier than just designing and building an entire 3d printer from scratch. But they are capable. 100,000 mm/s/s and printing at 2000mm/s. 4 motors on the x/y axis alone 3 or 4 on the z.

I wanted one, and settling for something else would just leave me filled with regrets and I would’ve just bought a VORON later anyway.So I bought the printer I wanted directly instead.

2023年4月23日 · A common thermistor type in 3d printer kits is the generic "100k 3950" NTC resistor. It has a nominal resistance of 100kΩ at 25°C, and a response characteristic labelled "3950". The response is not linear. When heating from cold the (absolute) resistance drops quickly at first, then slower and slower the hotter it gets.

2022年6月20日 · The jitter and low refresh rates of a LIDAR unit make them poorly suited to 3D printers. I’m sure there are all sorts of clever other things you can envisage (e.g. mounting a LiDAR on the hotend and measuring position / part geometry / extrusion performance in real time, but currently that’s well beyond the state of the art.
