
Would anyone recommend the Penn Foster vet tech program?
2022年7月9日 · I know vet techs are underpaid for what they do but so is the field I’m currently in so it’s not really much of a downgrade there, ha. There’s a community college near me that offers a vet tech degree but they’re pretty selective and kind of expensive compared to online programs like Penn Foster.

2023年8月8日 · Also for the large animal portion of the second externship 99% of students have to attend a fast track lab cause it's very hard to find a vet that sees these species and takes interns they cost around 300 to attend.

Penn Foster - should I do it? Do people actually graduate?
2022年2月10日 · Definitely not a scam, I did it and personally think it’s a great program. I completed the Vet tech program before the 4yr mark, you also graduate with your associates in science. You get to work at your own pace and at one point I was handling the workload while working two jobs.
I'm considering enrolling in Purdue's distance learning program.
2022年9月13日 · I highly recommend taking a look at what you will need to do for the mentorships. I didn't look into well before enrolling and there's a lot of tasks to complete. Purdue has 3 day long summer sessions for the large animal, lab animal, and necropsy ones. But, you will need to have access to a modern vet clinic for a lot of the tasks.
Penn foster vet tech program with no prior vet experience?
2023年3月15日 · I got my highschool diploma online on Penn foster, they definitely aren't a scam. I would definitely recommend getting an entry-level job such as an animal care attendant, or starting out volunteering before dropping money and time on their vet tech program.

It involved taking videos of a long list of things and getting a Vet or Licensed Tech to sign off saying if you are sufficiently able to perform the task. 2023年6月23日 · I used vet tech prep. Got very sick right out of graduation and only had two weeks of meaningful study time before the VTNE. I passed on the first try and definitely attribute that to vet tech prep. I also wrote down all of the questions and correct answers and studied them over and over again.
