2021年9月1日 · Corsair replacement engines for piston-powered general aviation aircraft incorporate modified aluminum V8 engine blocks and modified components. These features greatly increase aircraft performance, and allow the use of multiple fuel types.

Our current V8 design is intended to replace legacy aircraft engines between 200 HP to 375HP with just software and Prop Gear Drive ratio modifications. So, the weight and efficient power curves would not likely be feasible on smaller aircraft such as the C152 and LSA aircraft.

The C172 is powered by Corsair’s V8 aluminum block engine, controlled by redundant electronic fuel injection (REFI) and software that eliminates carburetor heat and fuel mixture controls. The engine is flex-fuel rated and can consume different fuel types, including cheaper and more environmentally friendly automobile gas, as well as AVGAS.
