Uriel Septim VII (3E 346 [1] – 433) was the twenty-first ruler of the Empire of Tamriel. Throughout The Elder Scrolls series, Uriel plays a major role, with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim being a notable exception.

Uriel Septim V (??–3E 290) was the seventeenth ruler of the Empire of Tamriel. He inherited the throne from his father, Cephorus Septim II, in 3E 268. His reign was marked by several ambitious conquests, the last of which was to the continent of Akavir. He is regarded as the best warrior Emperor since his ancestor Tiber Septim.

During the Restoration, Uriel Septim turned from the aggressive campaign of military intimidation and diplomatic accommodation of his earlier years, and relied instead on clandestine manipulation of affairs behind the scenes, primarily through the agencies of the various branches of the Blades.

Uriel Septim IV, also Uriel Lariat (??–3E 247), was the fifteenth Emperor to rule Tamriel. Uriel Lariat was the son of Katariah and her consort Gallivere Lariat, and thus had no actual blood relation to Tiber Septim or the branch Matriarch Empress Kintyra.

Uriel Septim VII might be the emperor to whom both the end of the Septim dynasty and the eventual decline of the Third Empire can be traced, but we also need to consider the frankly astonishing number of unpredictable catastrophes he was called to deal with during his reign.
