Our campus. The University of Sussex is located at Falmer on the outskirts of Brighton, within easy reach of London and major international airports at Gatwick and Heathrow.

Campus life. Sussex has one of the most beautiful campus locations in the UK. Situated in rolling parkland on the edge of Brighton, the campus combines award-winning architecture with green open spaces. The campus is surrounded by the South Downs National Park but just a few minutes away from the lively city of Brighton & Hove.

We’re investing in making our stunning 60-year-old campus better – with everything from big builds to small changes to our existing space and facilities. These will give us areas that work, providing modern spaces and keeping our historic campus beautiful for another 60 years.

Our campus. Our campus, designed by renowned architect, Basil Spence, was visited by Queen Elizabeth II, been home to thousands of students, and has seen the installation of 3,000 solar panels – the largest solar power project in any UK university. 2025年2月10日 · The University’s goal is to increase the percentage of campus land set aside for nature from 38% to 42% by December 2027. Part of that change is Love Your Scrub , a rewilding initiative focused on expanding scrub habitats on campus.
