We participate in fundraisers, volunteer for the community, host horse shows at the university, and listen to guest speakers on equine topics. As a club, we sponsor our four traveling show teams: Hunt Seat, Eventing, Western, and Dressage.
The Dressage team competes in the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA). You can visit the IDA website here: IDA.com . The Eventing Team competes in USEA.
How do I join a team? The UFEC has 4 teams: Dressage, Eventing, Hunt Seat, and Western. If you are interested in joining any of our teams, you are encouraged to reach out to the captain or co-captain of the team you are interested in to get more information on getting started.
Team Members are riders that plan on competing shows with any/all of the IHSA/IDA/USEA Teams within the University of Florida Equestrian Club. Active Club and Team members cannot miss more than 2 meetings per semester without an approved excuse.
We compete in Western Horsemanship, Ranch Riding, and Reining against teams from Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). If you are considering riding for UF, please come meet us and join our team!
Our team is a competing member of the Intercollegiate Dressage Association, Region J, which includes the University of Florida, Florida State, Stetson, Georgia Tech, and Wesleyan College. Below you will find our show schedule and some other useful information.
Our Eventing Team Coach, Ashley Johnson Phone: (610) 212-0294 Ashley Johnson is head trainer and owner at Ashland Eventing based in Ocala, FL. Ashley Johnson is a 5 star Event Rider and an ICP Level III Certified Instructor. She has coached at the University of Florida's Eventing Team from its start.

Membership in this organization is open to all enrolled students at the University of Florida. Non-enrolled students, spouses, faculty, and staff may be associate members; however, they may not vote or hold office.
