2019年7月12日 · The United States Minor Outlying Islands (USMOI) are nine islands or groups thereof, eight of which are remote outposts in the Pacific Ocean with no permanent residents (the other is in the Caribbean). Being a fan of remote places with visible human history, I am intrigued by these Pacific islands.

I am already a US citizen, and live in one of the lower 48 states. I don't have the resources to move there right now, but I am curious.

2016年6月18日 · Since you are asking this on Travel SE I assume you also would want to visit such an island.I think I have found exactly what you are looking for, with the only downside, that it is not a Pacific island but in Europe:

Tip: if you have all day, or visit several times, you'll find quite various picnic and sunbathing spots on the different islands. Try e.g. places in/around the fortress at the tip of Kustaanmiekka, or the (smooth, rocky) shores of Länsi-Musta, which is a bit quieter island. (English is missing a good word for rantakallio.) –

(1) Work your way through the incredibly long Wikipedia - uninhabited islands entry. (2) NZ uninhabited islands subset. None too tropical. Once you are legally in NZ there are some where you may just row/swim /stagger ashore with no other permission and may remain till rescued - many of these are very inhospitable (3) Manuae Island. Cook Islands.
