2022年2月17日 · Shock is a state of acute cardiocirculatory failure resulting in end-organ hypoxia and dysfunction. Shock has many etiologies and is the final common pathway of death. Approach to undifferentiated shock requires simultaneous resuscitation and investigation. Recognize shock. No single clinical finding or investigation can rule in or rule out shock.

When a patient presents with undifferentiated shock, it is important that the clinician immediately initiate therapy while rapidly identifying the etiology so that definitive therapy can be administered to reverse shock and prevent MOF and death.
