Umerkot (Urdu: عمرڪوٽ; Dhatki : عمرڪوٽ; Sindhi: عمرڪوٽ; IPA: [ʊmərkoːʈ], formerly known as Amarkot) is a city in the Sindh province of Pakistan. The Mughal emperor Akbar was born in Amarkot in 1542.
