2023年1月31日 · The amphibious transport dock ship USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) departed Singapore after a scheduled port call, Jan. 31. "Singapore has provided us an opportunity for the crew to rest and reset during this deployment," said Captain Doug Langenberg, John P. Murtha Commanding Officer.

He most recently served as the Executive Officer of USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Captain Langenberg is scheduled to assume command of USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) in July, 2022.

At sea, he deployed on USS John A. Moore (FFG 19), USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), and USS Comstock (LSD 45). He served as the OIC and Commissioning Officer of the very first LCS MCM Mission Package Detachment, and commanded the USS Comstock (LSD 45) and USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49).
