Feeding cursed people was not an easy task as they were 100 and some years old, physically deformed, and mentally unstable. They were cursed with eternal life and were always hungry for food.

In the climax scene of the acclaimed movie Tumbbad (2018): Vinayak Rao and his son Pandurang carry multiple dough dolls so that they can snatch Hastar's coin pouch. They see multiple embodiments of Hastar who in turn fight with each other for the dough dolls. It seems that there is one embodiment for each dough doll.
