2023年1月1日 · Tucker idler wheels are roughly 12" in diameter and looking at the radius of the track in front, that looks less than 12", suggesting some other type of idler wheel configuration. Maybe this system works fine, I honestly don't know, but being so far off the Tucker reservation one would be taking somewhat of a leap of faith that it works.

2018年10月9日 · Later style wheels have "Tucker Sno Cat" in the aluminum wheel casting whereas the earlier wheels say "R & K". I believe Tucker gets their current production wheels from R & K with their unique wheel casting. I Googled R & K wheels and their website mentioned they offer wheel recovering.

2015年6月28日 · Took the doors and hood off. Tucker welded the hinges to the frames back then. The hood hinges are neat designs. Bolt, pin, and some square stock maybe even keyways. The heater isn't correct. They must have needed more at those temps up there along. Been enjoying wildcat lately. It's inspiring thinking about this Tucker living up there.

As some of you may recall, I own a few vintage Tucker Sno-Cats (you may remember "Let It Snow"; my December Post about my Tucker 442A restoration). The steering on a vintage steel track Tucker is quite something.

2006年12月10日 · tucker rollers come in at least 3 sizes. the mcmaster carr catalog has them all. you will have to measure your best original roller and then select the steel one closest in size in the catalog. they are permanantly lubricated, so the passionate familiarity tuckerista have with the needle greaser can be reduced.
