Oct 8, 2014 · I have a Trane XR80, installed in 2005. Last summer I had my vents cleaned, and the furnace worked fine through the winter. Now when I turn the heat on via the thermostat (move the slider to heat and push the temp arrow up) the heat doesn't come on. I hear a buzzing that lasts for about 30 seconds or so and then that stops, then repeats.

Dec 10, 2013 · In searching for the replacement part, I've discovered that the circuit board part # CNT03076 (D341396P01) is notorious for going bad. Apparently, Trane and the HVAC techs know about it. The board has since been updated several times with the latest being Trane part CNT05165. I've gone ahead and ordered the replacement part.

Oct 17, 2004 · Heater is a Trane XE80 model #TUD100C936H3. What happens is the inducer starts, the ignitor glows and then there is a click, which I determined comes from the relays on top of the gas valve, but the burners don't light. This cycle goes on for around three times at which the red light on the control board constantly flashes fast.

Nov 13, 2020 · They helped me for like 30 minutes, determined the correct board (50A65-5165) and ignitor (768A-815) part numbers for my Trane system, and emailed me the manual. Fantastic service (and I didn't even purchase anything directly from them).

Mar 31, 2012 · Gas and Oil Home Heating Furnaces - Trane XR80 - No Ignitor Glow - I have an upflow/horizontal Trane XR80 furnace, it is just under 9 years old. The only problems that I have ever encountered in the past have been dirty flame sensors causing the unit to go out intermittently, fixed by simply cleaning the sensor.
